If you look over to the top left, you will see a host of Speaking Engagement dates I have booked for the new year.

The history of my Speaking Engagements started quite naturally, when the books I wrote ("Kiss And Makeup", "Sex Money Kiss" and "Ladies Of The Night") all became NY Times and LA Times Best Sellers.

The first two books were semi-autobiographies, along with my business philosophies and life style choices.

I started receiving quite a number of emails inquiring whether I'd be interested in being the Keynote Speaker at various functions. This led to a Speaking Tour Of Australia a few years ago. Tickets were $175. And then I stated receiving a downpour of speaking engagements... Keynote Speaker at MIPCOM in Cannes, France... Keynote Speaker at M FOR MONTREAL Festival in Canada... Keynote Speaker for the EO (The Entrepreneur Organization), in Los Angeles, as well for their chapter in Edmonton, Canada. There are too many others to mention here.

Suffice it to say I will keep you all informed about these events. They have morphed more into Power of Branding and Maximizing Your Profit Potential events... and we urge you to attend when we come to your town.

Last night Gene appeared on LOPEZ TONIGHT and talked about the undying love he has for Shannon, and co-KISS founder Paul Stanley. Plus, Gene relates wild stories from the road, including sleeping with a nun-to-be, and signing a human leg that a fan threw onto the stage!

Dear Mr. Simmons,

Last night, I saw your Family Jewels episode when you visited the Anne Frank House. I could see that you were truly moved, and I have a story I would like to share with you that I think you will like, if it is possible to like a story related to the Holocaust.

I was a third year Dental student at the University of Illinois at Chicago. I was doing my rotation in the Oral Diagnosis Clinic. The clinic was run by Dr. Olga Horwitz, a lady about your mother's age, who was like a mother to all of us. We never knew for sure, but had assumed that she had lived through some badness during the war.

Anyway, one day, this older German man came into the clinic for evaluation. He was not my patient, but was in an operatory near me. Dr. Horwitz went in to check on the student's work, and when she saw the man, this normally jovial lady became obviously very disturbed. She asked the man in a very stern voice where he was in 1942 or 3 (i can't remember). He became very indignant, and said "I don't have to take this from a Jew!", and ran out of the place like his ass was on fire. We all went to Dr. Horwitz, and asked her what the problem was. She rolled up her sleeve, showed us her number tattoo, and said that he had been a guard at the concentration camp where she had been held. Several of us tried to chase him down, but by then, he had disappeared into the streets of Chicago.

I don't know whatever happened to him, but he didn't come back to the Dental school. It's a very small world.

Sincerely,

Patrick M. Cooney, DDS,MD.

Response from Gene:

Evil walks among us. We can't let anyone do this ever again. Tolerance. For everyone.

For five hilarious, provocative and often touching seasons, KISS frontman and multi-hyphenate Gene Simmons has invited viewers into his home for a look at his surprisingly normal and uniquely American family, which includes his wife, actress/model/Playmate of the Year Shannon Tweed and their kids Nick and Sophie. The rock legend returns in two brand-new DVD sets being released on December 21: GENE SIMMONS FAMILY JEWELS: THE COMPLETE SEASONS 4&5. Loaded with additional footage, both 3-disc sets will be available for $19.95srp.

Simmons and his unconventional family are back and better than ever for season four of the hit A&E unscripted series GENE SIMMONS FAMILY JEWELS. This season kicks off with Sophie’s sweet sixteen party, giving viewers an all-access pass to the landmark celebration. From Gene’s appearance on "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?" and his filming of a Japanese monster flick, to Shannon preparing for a role in a roller derby exploitation film, to Nick getting his own apartment, to Sophie fending off ill-intentioned teenaged boys, follow the Simmons-Tweed clan as they set out to prove, yet again, why they are the most non-traditional, traditional family in America.

From a major health scare for Shannon, to Sophie’s high school graduation, to Gene’s 60th and Nick’s 21st birthdays, GENE SIMMONS FAMILY JEWELS: THE COMPLETE SEASON 5 gives fans an unprecedented look at the many adventures and milestone moments that make the family so cohesive. Plus, with everything going on at home, KISS has been in the midst of a sold-out world tour - viewers will get an all-access pass to the tour, meeting up with Gene in several cities. This season also features Nick playing with KISS members Tommy Thayer (lead guitar), Eric Singer (drums) and dad on bass at Comic-Con for the launch of his newest graphic novel, Incarnate, which Nick both wrote and drew; Sophie looking at colleges; Gene touring his roots in New York City; and a very emotional experience at the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam.

I’ve never taken the time to review or even comment about the content of any reality television show because the content of these reality shows is, more often than not, prefabricated rubbish for the sake of entertainment. Tonight’s episode of Gene Simmons Family Jewels, called Face Your Demons, was an exception to the rule and quite frankly one of the most important episodes of any documentary or reality program ever aired on television – it’s the only Emmy worthy reality show moment in history.

The sixth season debut episode captures a highly personal moment for Gene as he is forced to finally face his childhood demons and his mother’s tragic past when visiting the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam. For those who have read his biography KISS and Makeup and the KISS book Behind The Mask, the early moments with his mother and his emigration to the United States were the most personal and revealing passages of the books. It’s fun to hear about the rock and the girls, but to truly know who Gene Simmons is, you have to read the early chapters.

Gene Simmons is at it again. The legendary KISS performer, who also appeared in Celebrity Apprentice, returns with his reality series Gene Simmons: Family Jewels Sunday, December 5 at 9:00 PM on A&E. The show follows the everyday lives of Gene, his longtime partner Shannon Tweed and their children Nick and Sophie. The show has covered everything from Sophie's Sweet Sixteen to health scares to touring vs. everyday life.

This season takes on a more serious turn as Gene accompanies his mother to the Anne Frank house in Amsterdam. Many people have no idea that his mother was Anne's age when she was in a concentration camp, facing the very same terror that Anne faced herself. Gene and his mom have always been very close, and this special bonding moment will bring their relationship to a whole new level. As the two tour the house, we will learn more about their pasts and their family history. We will get a deeper look into who Gene really is as he faces his past and events that shaped him into the man he is today. He will have to come to terms with these events, but how will they impact his future? Gene will also spend time with a young man from Amsterdam, and I am advising you now to have your tissues ready! This episode will definitely make you cry.

Rock star Gene Simmons, a founding member of the band KISS, explains why he wants his 2008 vote for President Obama back.

"If you take a look at Obama's resume, you couldn’t find somebody, in retrospect, more unqualified," Simmons told "Parker Spitzer."

NEW EPISODES RETURN TO A&E ON SUNDAY, DECEMBER 5 AT 9 PM ET/PT WITH A SPECIAL ONE-HOUR EPISODE OF THE AWARD WINNING SERIES

Legendary rock god and multi-hyphenate Gene Simmons returns to A&E with brand new episodes of his hit award-winning unscripted series “Gene Simmons Family Jewels,” premiering with a special one-hour episode on Sunday, December 5 at 9:00 PM ET/PT.  The first episode captures a highly personal moment for Gene as he is forced to finally face his childhood demons and his mother’s tragic past when visiting the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam.

Gene’s life is an open book, but the one thing he keeps close to the vest is his mother’s harsh survival as a Jewish girl in Europe during WWII. His mother and Anne Frank were approximately the same age when they went into concentration camps and seeing how Anne lived strikes an emotional chord with Gene. No one is more important to Gene than his mother, and it’s a raw and telling look at Gene’s family history and childhood that fans have never had access to before now.

Over the course of ten new episodes, fans will continue to get the behind the scenes access to the family’s many adventures and milestone moments that make them the most interesting and enduring family on television.
