Hi Gene,

I have seen quite a few pictures of you with this kid. I believe this was backstage at the Paul Lynde Show taping in 1976. Who was the child.......was he the son or nephew of anyone associated with KISS or with the Paul Lynde Show?

Response from Gene:

I don't recall. But, I've always liked the non-judgemental, innocence of little kids. And, for some reason, they always connect with the Demon.

   Hello Mr.Simmons,

I am Shawn Sutherland, I live in Tacoma, Washington. I am 16 years old and I have an idea for a clothing line. I know you have the Money Bag clothing line, and I was thinking about another clothing line. How about a clothing line made just for mom's. Mom's who are at home, cooking, cleaning, and just taking care of the family. I call it " Mama's Wear ", and it would be fancy but not to fancy, it would be made just for mom's. I understand that you are a busy man, but I would like it if you contacted me back. Thank you for your time and I hope you will reply soon. And one more thing, my phone will be off during school. 7:30 a.m-2:10 p.m pacific time.
Sincerly,
Shawn Sutherland

Response from Gene:

Good thought, Shawn. But, just a thought. Now, go out there, and raise money to implement your idea. Trademark, if you can, the name. Have friends and family fund your enterprise. Have a business plan. And start small. Don't just think of something. DO something about it.

Hi Gene,

I know you’ve been busy with things like you told us when you met me and my sister in Nashville TN. You said you would get back with us on a personal business venture and we have not herd from you since then. I am a man of my word my father taut me to be all my life, I know you are such a person, you just have to be. Please let us hear from you soon we need to talk to you soon. If you’re wandering who we are, just look for first the two business cards. The first two people that greeted you when you were done speaking in Nashville. You were holding her hand and mine at the same time and we both handed you a business card, first name Kim & Kenneth last name starts with McC.
Thank you very much.
Looking to hear from you soon.
Sincerely Kenneth

Response from Gene:

My sense is, you heard something you wanted to hear. Never said it. In general, business interests contact me. Not the other way around. However, hopefully I was courteous and charming. Thank you.

Gene,

You are right, everyone figures this out sooner or later, the easy way or the hard way.

Today, the recently sober Frehley is benefiting from a rejuvenation of creativity, touring the U.S. and Canada and finishing up work on his first solo record in nearly 20 years. The guitarist took the time to speak with TCS Thursday, March 13, 2008 while en route to a gig in Calgary.

Question: You were talking about being sober. Is there more of a reward for you from the perspective of writing music and putting together an album that you haven’t had in a long time?

ACE: You know, for years I always thought I needed substances to be creative and lo and behold, I realized last year that I actually function a lot better without all that stuff (laughs). It took me 40 years to figure it out, but better late than never right?

Response from Gene:

I stand by what I said. Then. And, now.

Hello Gene,

I am an avid watcher of your television show and value your opinion greatly. Here is my question....
I own a small business and two of my employees are constantly text-messaging each other while they are working. Some of my clients have noticed this and made comments. How would you handle employees like this?
Again, your opinion is greatly appreciated.
My best to your family....
Sarah

Response from Gene:

You don't need me to tell you how to run your business. But, if they worked for me, they would be gone.

whats up brother you need to hook me up with shannons sister

Response from Gene:

Ok. Can I get you a sandwich, or something?

Dear Gene,

I am a fan,and as such, I know you are always open for a good conversation, even if I don't like the answer all the time! I read on your site all the time where you give a lot of credit to the fans for MOST of what you have attained in your carreer, I also read where you only enjoy being around those MORE successful than you, Well, herein lies the question. You have fans because we have not attained the same heights, I, e., Money, Popularity, etc, Doesn't that make us, the fan, less successful than you, and in turn, make you NOT want to spend time with US?

Sincerely
Your Fan
William James Deiter

Response from Gene:

I'm sure you know the answer.
"Time" spent with someone social is, "hey, how are you. Thanks."
That's not the same "Time" as "Business time."
Business people don't want to be treated like fans.
And I hope fans don't want to be treated like business people
But, I'm sure you knew all that.

Hi Gene,

What are a few things that distract you from being successful at what you do...and how do you remove said items from your life?

Long-time Fan
James

Response from Gene:

Well, surrounding yourself with the wrong people is about as bad a decision as you can make. Get rid of the drinkers and druggies in your life. They will suck the life out of you like a vampire. They're worthless to you and society. You are better than that and you deserve better things in life. Surround yourself only with people who respect themselves enough to lead responsible lives. They will succeed. You might, as well.

Gene,

how is it you seem to be doing well with your ventures yet you where a complete failure with Donald Trump, whats the real story ! surely you are not that dumb ru and is is not true you have your paid advisers who do everything and you really know nothing besides playing a bass.....

ej / New York

Response from Gene:

Thank you for your thought provoking email. Let me try and answer them as best I can.
The Apprentice deal was simple: I had to go out on tour with KISS (Aust/New Zealand) and could not continue on the show. The rest, I'm sure you can figure out.
I don't have "paid advisors." Advisors pay ME.
And as for knowing nothing besides playing bass, I suggest don't be jealous. It doesn't suit you.
   You're bigger than that.

Response from Gene:

Respectfully, you're not qualified to tell people if China is the next economic boom center of this planet -- simply because it already is.
Nothing is easy and neither is China. With that said, just because you met one disgruntled gentleman, is no indication of anything. Learn Mandarin. It's the language of money. Now.

I was so impressed when you said to learn Chinese because my friend is from China, and offered to teach me. Furthermore, I know a practicing doctor who's involved in business with China. He goes over a few times a year for the products he has made, or with new proposals. He has an office here with a bilingual (Chinese) staff that handles the everyday contacts. Doctors make a decent living, but good businesspeople become multimillionaires, which he is. I even know a handful of other people who are involved on a smaller scale with China, and are still making money with their regular job. Some people feel we should keep business here in the US. So, while they complain about it, if given the opportunity, I think we should try to make money anyway we can. OR.....make the opportunity happen.

Why would CMM shadow what you love the most with insults. In my entire lifetime, I have never heard anyone sneer at someone who helped the less fortunate. His anger will never bestow kindness. If someone has a happy successful lifestyle, then in turn we should be happy for them.
