Gene,
here's another one for the "KISS is everywhere" file, this time from an episode of Beavis & Butthead entitled "The Great Cornholio".
You guys are ubiquitous.

Response from Gene:
Ubiquitous!!!.... You're a powerful and attractive man.
Hi Gene,
I never imagined that at 46 I'd be emailing you to thank you for your great music. KISS music was my escape and the stereo my salvation. At 16 I had many sleepless nights out of pure fear (my father would beat my Mom) I'd often would not sleep until I couldn't hear him hitting her anymore. My Mom thought that by keeping quiet we couldn't tell what was happening but my little sister and I could hear her crying in the bathroom (we called the cops a couple of times but they wouldn't do anything back then it was considered "a private matter" and they'd leave). I swore I would not ever be remotely like him nor would I marry a man like him and I did. I've never smoked nor do I drink and my husband is the total opposite of my father, we have two beautiful sons who say we're cool and like to hang around with us and go to concerts.
On those nights I'd have my headphones on listening to KISS and staring at the posters wishing my life were different and dreaming to one day meet you and be front row at a KISS concert.
Well, it never happened back then but I've seen KISS twice in my adult life and both concerts were fantastic (I felt 16 all over again) one of the concerts was in my hometown of Laredo, Texas (the other was in San Antonio) and even though I was far from front row to just be there was a dream come true for me both times.
May God Bless you and your beautiful family. I wish you good health and continued success so KISS can keeprocking the world.
Again, from the bottom of my heart thank you for being you!
Loving KISS forever,
Ana Gonzalez
Hello Gene,
Some sources on the internet allready mentioned these titles for the upcoming new KISS album, seems like stupid to me, since that's too fast after the first announcement about a album:
1 down for the count
2 rough play
3 daydream at night
4 let my fingers do the talkin
5 paradise
6 incubator
7 terrible two
8 k.i.s.s.
9 in the days of old
10 timeline
11 night stalker
12 tell me
13 make up
Any truth?
-Marc
Response from Gene:
No. None of this is true.
Dear Gene Simmons/party responding on behalf of Mr. Simmons
I would first like to get the obvious out of the way. i am a fan of KISS and Gene Simmons. I watch Family jewels every chance i get and have bought every season, so i can enjoy it over and over again. Gene, i do think you are a great man and role model to men of all ages. To watch you be a true man and human being, loving father and devoted to your family; a rarity it truly is to see in a man this day and age. I hope i can grow up to be a man much like you. i never understood those famous introduction words until now. Now that i reflect and think about you; now i understand: Thats why it's good to be you.
Recently i had a Family Jewels marathon night with some friends. i got up and left the room for a moment and while I was in the other room, i heard a song that i really liked. i came running back in and discovered it was actually your daughter Sophie singing a song you apperently wrote and she was playing it on the piano. It was called First love i believe. when i tryed looking it up on itunes to see if it was available to buy, my search result for it ended in failure, much to my disappointment. A few hours later we were into season 4 and as we were ending Disc 4, yet again i heard Sophie singing again. This time however, she out did herself. It was your raw and uncut episode and you were talking about how even though you are the Lord of Rock and have tourned for about 36 years, it was Sophie who is the true rockstar. I wish you moseltoff (please forgive my poor spelling of this Yidish word Mr.Simmons)
I heard Sophie sing this song, Take Me Away and i actually got a chill down my spine. I was blown away and I knew right away that i wanted to hear more songs by or from her. like many in todays society, i would have just tryed to use a music program to illegally download it but after hearing Sophie sing, i knew i couldn't. She is someone who i want to fully support and knew i just had to buy a CD if she has one.
so i wish to ask (through all my ranting)
Does Sophie have a CD? Is there anyway i can buy a CD or something; even if it is just that one song? Is there anyway at all to get any of her songs legally?
Even though i havnt heard her recordings in full, i have to say i know buying a CD, even if there is only the one song on it, wouldn't be a penny wasted. I will admit, i think it is my new fav song. I often play and then rewind the segment on Sophie, just so i can hear her sing over and over again.
So if you could Gene, please let Sophie know she has a fan and keep up all the great work.
So if there is anyway to get a CD by Sophie, please let me know...its the one CD i know i won't regret purchasing.
Sincerly,
Josh Cutrara from Canada
Response from Gene:
Soph will eventually decide for herself what she wants to do in life. Until then, school and growing up. Thank you for the kind words.
Gene:
I've always seen you perform with four-string basses. A friend of mine who's been a professional musician and plays the bass talks about how his dream bass is a five-string and how it has one string lower than the four-string. Was wondering if you've ever used a five-string bass and if you just prefer four strings.
Best,
Rick
Response from Gene:
It's a waste of time. You can't hear the low bass string and it's strictly musicianitise (a rare disease that hits musicians -- the symptoms include a delusional notion that the masses care about double neck guitars or 5 string basses. In all seriousness, if your friend likes it, I say do it. But, it won't put a single dollar more in your pocket.
Hi Gene!
First of all, i would like to send you a big "Hello" from Rio de Janeiro/Brazil and say that we all Brazilian fans are very excited about the show...really counting the days, hours, minutes and seconds. It's true!!
Second, I'd like to say that you are my biggest musical influence... you're a great bassist...a great musician...thanks for all you "teached" me...you're GOD.
Third, what are your expectations about the show here in Rio de Janeiro? Are you excited? It's been around 10 years since your last visit in Brazil. Tell me about your expectations about the concert.
Hope you return,
Leandro Siqueira
No questions, I just wanted to say your portrayed as a wonderful open family. It's good to know other parents talk to their kids and have fun together. I'm a single mom to three teenagers and have definitely learned the value of communication. Thank you for allowing us to view your family.
Sincerely,

Greetings Gene,
I know your Punisher basses are top notch instruments, stunning looks, and awesome performance.Probably, throughout your stellar career, you have played countless basses. What is your favorite vintage, or classic bass, that you enjoy playing, and do you collect vintage basses?
Thank You Sir,
Stew
Response from Gene:
I've always been disappointed in most basses...which is why I designed and manufactured my own: PUNISHER and AXE (tm).
