A true SELFLESS American Hero.

Just wondering, Gene...

Since Simon Cowell has announced this season of "American Idol" will be his last, how many e-mails have you received telling you that you would be the perfect replacement? I've just got this feeling there may have been a few...

Bill

Response from Gene:

Quite a few... but, I've got a day job. And I'm not quitting it. Too much fun.

This is not really a question. It is a comment. I was watching Shatner a Raw Nerve while he interviewed you. I knew I admired you because you love your family so much. I didn't know that your Mother had been in a Nazi concentration camp, or that you had immigrated from Israel with your Mother. She must be so beautiful and wonderful and to have raised such a wonderful son. (in spite of a slight bit of arrogance - I guess that is a guy thing.)

I cried when you were talking about her swearing her oath by raising sieg heil, and the man telling her she would Never Have to do that again! Praise the Lord for freedom!!!! God Bless America as it was founded (a Democratic Republic-hopefully not becoming a socialist state). I love you and your family for loving our country as much as I do. You are right about this country ( I have never lived in another or traveled very far, but I know how blessed we are!) we are the greatest in the world.

Again, God bless you and your family.

Sincerely,

Jo Fyffe

Hey Gene

I just watched your clip from Shatner's Raw Nerve and wanted you to know how touched I was. I feel for your Mother, knowing the horrorifying trauma she must have experienced in Auschwitz. From what I have seen, she seems like a sweet women. I don't know if I could have come out of all that with all my marbles.

May you have continuing success!!!

Peter

Gene,

I wanted to share a picture with you. It's of my husband. He had just gotten off work and put on his mask. He loves it. I appreciate you taking time out of your busy schedule to show your appreciation for the military. It truly means alot. Not only to the soldiers but their families too. My husband has done two tours in Iraq as an Infantry soldier and they have been some though some hard times. We lost some good friends/soldiers. We recently went to the Kiss concert in Dallas. My mom is the one who took us. She has been a huge Kiss fan for a while now. She also served in the military for 23 years. She retired as a SGM. We love you!!! Keep the Family Jewels coming!

Thanks,

Debbie DeVito

Response from Gene:

We honor you and the family.

Gene,

I’ve raised my daughter to be somewhat of a KISS fan for her age. She’s 10 and watches Family Jewels with me every season, so I put some KISS songs on her iPod to become familiar with the unique KISS sound and classic songs. Last October, I took her to Phillips Arena in Atlanta to see KISS for the first time. She was so excited and had been talking about the concert for weeks, but she had never been to a live concert before. When Buck Cherry came out, the noise level freaked her out and caused her to go into a panic attack. I didn’t think to give her ear plugs. A kind man outside the arena near the paramedic office gave her a pair, but she was in full-blown panic attack mode before you came on. So, my husband drove up and picked her up so I could stay for the show. I told her not to worry about it, that I wasn’t mad about the ticket price going to waste. I was very understanding and told her we’d try again when she was older. I called her several times during the concert so she could at least hear you in the background, and I took home some confetti to throw on her (it was all over me, in my shirt, in my pockets, etc.).

What’s funny is that, when we were discussing what to do if we got separated at the arena, she said, “Mom, don’t worry. I’ll just find Gene Simmons.”

I don’t know when you’ll be around to Atlanta again, so I wanted to ask if you could send her a note or autograph, just letting her know that you appreciate her as a fan and that she can still love KISS just the same by CD or iPod since she missed the concert.

My daughter’s name is Gillian, and she would love to hear from you. Let me know if you need my mailing address. I appreciate it.

Thank you,

Jennifer Corbett

Response from Gene:

Hi, Gillian.

Hello I have been trying to access Gene Simmons Money Bag, and it keeps coming up that the site is down. I would like to purchase some items from him. Any idea when this site will be back up and running?

Mike

Response from Gene:

I am re-launching GS MONEYBAG. Stay tuned.

We are your biggest fans. :) We wanted to show you the legos we made of KISS.

So here they are.

Spencer and Daniel Templeton

Dear Mr. Simmons-

I wanted to write to you to tell you what an extreme honor it was for my family and I to meet you at the Borders book signing on December 17th in NYC. This was our second time meeting you. You gave us your undivided attention. You spoke with my children about "what they wanted to be when they grow up", gave them some entrepreneurial advice, and were just simply so incredibly kind. But the greatest thing that happened that day was that my husband Jeff asked you if he could "show you something". You, of course, answered "absolutely". Next thing I know Jeff is lifting his shirt flashing his Gene Simmons tattoo back piece to you and you seemed so sincerely flattered.

That day was the greatest experience for my darling husband....he truly has been your ultimate fan since he was 12 years old. You are an icon to him and now my children. You have gotten my family through some really tough times, literally...I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer when my children were 2 and 4. I had to endure numerous treatments and surgeries...leaving my husband as the sole caretaker of myself and my babies. He also became the sole breadwinner for my family. My cancer created a lot of financial debt. Jeff had collected and treasured Kiss memorabilia since the minute he became a fan. He always told me it was an "investment". I never believed it until...he started selling off items and eventually paid off all the medical bills we were left with!! I am so thankful and grateful for that! But I am also sad as I know that was the hardest thing he ever had to do. He is now slowly trying to rebuild his collection and this is really why I am writing.

Many photos were taken by the press of you admiring Jeff's tattoo. These photo's mean everything to my husband!!! He is so proud of them. His birthday is February 17th and as a gift to repay him for all he has given up for me, I was hoping you would consider Autographing one for him?? It would sincerely mean the world to me, but mostly Jeff.

I thank you for your time, and your consideration...you are my hero too!!

Sincerely-

Robin Smith

Mr. Gene Simmons,

Did you go to the MTR Race Track and Gaming Resort on New Year’s Eve?

Michelle and Brian

Response from Gene:

No. Wasn't me. Apparently, I have been sighted at various places New Year's Eve, including South Africa!!! But, as you can see from the foto on our front page, I was in LA.
