I would like to thank-you for calling my son, St. Sgt. Kyle Himel, and leaving him a message. AND it was also considerate of you to call me when u couldn't get in touch with him. All my family and friends were equally amazed. Of course I told them that you and Ms. Shannon supported the troops tremendously.
In fact when I got in touch with my son after u called, he informed me that he was leaving for Afghanistan @ 0400 the very next day.

I have been following your career since the mid ‘70’s when my roommate in College turned me onto KISS. While I made a brief career in country music I always appreciated a great musical talent. My admiration for you grew as I learned how focused you were on business and what a strong family man you were.
I didn’t think you could do anything more to increase my admiration for you but I was seriously wrong. Your growth in the past 2 years as a man, admitting that it was fear stopping you from committing formally to Shannon just blew me away. You are truly not just a great American, but a great man.
I found the love of my life about the same time you found yours. It didn’t take me 28 years to walk down the aisle with her, but I believe it took as much courage, love and strength.
