To Gene (my number one idol),
I am sure you get quite alot of letters every day, or so you should, and you probably see no reason as to why you should read mine out of the many letters that you get but if you do read this, i could not put it into words how grateful i would be. Id like to tell you first of all about the hard time i get at school because i choose to support the band, wearing T - shrits ect. ect. and i have gotten through that with tears and pain. you ( and the band) have given me the faith, courage and confidence to get through all that. Your book KISS and make up is fantastic!!! but thatz just obvious, this whole letter is like the story of a kid (me) who went through 4 years of middle school being picked on and bullied - and i didnt care because i had your music to help me get through it. your music - my sanctuary. thankyou thankyou thankyou!!!!! i look up to you and paul mainly because you went through the ups and downs, you went to EVERY rehersal for the band and i guess you were the real believers. Gene? you are a god. people look up to you. being a member of KISS must be great. My favourite song is god gave rock and roll to you and my favourite album is revenge. can i ask you, wot is the difference between god gave rock and roll to you and god gave rock and roll to you 2?
best wishes
from 12 year old Chip
I took this picture on Friday October 24th. This poster was plastered on the side of a bus stop in downtown Toronto.
Not sure if you were aware that your likeness is being used.
Steve

I wanted to copy this photo of you and I together at the book signing in SanFransisco. I want you to know that I really enjoyed meeting you and the feeling that I had when we met was awesome! You saw me and said , "what a beautifull woman, you are a beautifull woman." You looked sexy, strong, sensual, and a animal attraction came over me for you. I wanted to ask for some time with you alone, and I regret not doing so. I hope I have the chance when you come to Fresno. I am a lady in waiting!
If I never have that feeling of intense magnetic desire to have a connection with someone again in my whole life, it's ok because I had it with you. My boyfriend is a bit jealous, you , said those things to me so he couldn't hear, and I wanted to be alone with you badly. You even asked him if I was his present after you signed a photo for him. You are the man!
I want you to show me the way!
Your lady in waiting,
Kris
God of Thunder! I would love to hear that sexy groan sound that you made toward me again.

Even though KISS continue you to ignore your small, unprofitable, but ever loyal UK fanbase, I'd just like you to know that WE STILL LOVE YOU!
As proof, here are a few pics I took last night at the Nottingham Rock City nightclub which hosted a very succesful KISS Convention attended by hundreds of fans (and one ex-KISS guitarist who had nothing but praise about you) and which concluded with a 2 hour set from premier UK tribute band - DRESSED TO KILL!
I'd also like you know that 'I' (the song) went down an absolute STORM...
Anyway, hope you enjoy the pics...
...and get yer fat arses over here, pronto.

WALES.
I dreamt that you were at my birthday party, and you were wearing Blue Jeans and a white tank top. You were sticking out your tongue and posing for pictures with everybody. You let me have a free picture and Autographed i since it was my birthday, but you charged everybody else. After the photo shoot, you ate a lot of vanilla cake with blue icing, and drank some sort of soda.
Every girl at the party wanted to sleep with you. There was a bunch of other stuff that I dont remember. The dream ended with you telling jokes, since I kept complimenting your sense of humor.
Gene,
I wanted to tell you a brief story and submit a picture: My son Trevor, age 5.5, has become a HUGE fan of KISS, and most notably, a fan of yours! After I purchased the Alive IV DVD and CD, he watches intently and listens just about every day. My 2.5 year old son, Tanner, and my 3.5 year old girl, Nadya, are also becoming obsessed! This is a GOOD thing! I crack up listening to the three of them rocking out to 'Shout It Out Loud' while we're out and about in the car. My son Trevor knows your every move (or at least every move that he has either seen in person, or on video).
Recently, I began painting his face like 'the Demon'. We went to the October 18th show in Devore, CA and I had him dressed and painted like you, per his demand! My wife hand crafted a replica of the 1975 Alive costume and he came to the show with attitude. He was is rare form! As we walked through the parking lot, he was greeted, rather mobbed, by fans of all kinds....He had the tongue going and everything. I don't think he'd ever had so many pictures taken of him or with other people, in one night!
To conclude, I just wanted to say thank you for KISS, and the incredible longevity you guys possess! Your desire to please the fan is unmeasurable. I am so thrilled to share my love for KISS with my children and watch them watch you. This past Saturday, Oct 26th, we ventured to the MGM and I treated the whole family, including the 2 and 3 year olds to the greatest show on earth. I can't figure out whether they're more thrilled with seeing KISS perform, or I'm more thrilled just watching them be thrilled!
Lastly, I absolutely love the Psycho Circus album, and I only wish you guys could have performed a song or two from Psycho Circus on your World Domination Tour.
Please enjoy the attached pictures!
Thanks Gene!

Dear Gene
Re:- the guy asking if Bon Jovi toured with KISS.
Is it also correct that the songs Living On a Prayer + Give Love A Bad Name - were later written because Paul Stanley introduced Jovi to Desmond Child the co-writer of Heaven's On Fire (or something to this effect) during the 1984 tour ?

Ps. I really enjoyed the KISS Symphony DVD - It was great to see the old Pete back - he had a permanent grin on his face.
Response from Gene:
Yes
This is a little late, but I saw Kiss in LA on the 18th (INCREDIBLE show!!) and I wanted to let you know that everybody I talked to that was either there to see Aerosmith, or never liked Kiss before was awestruck by the show and left with a new appreciation for Kiss, believing the night belonged to KISS!!
