Hi Gene.
I was out for a couple drinks with a close friend the other night whose name happens to be Ronald McDonald. He told me, that in the late seventies you once did a show wearing his red boots and that you never gave them back!
Is this true?
Peter
Response from Gene:
I thought I had heard it all before. But, this one takes the cake. Red shoes, you say?
Hi Gene,
Just a slight "correction" to your post on you home page the other day. Don't wanna be one of those picky people but this is a soft spot to me. Although Alexander Graham Bell did invent the microphone, later the telephone, he was not an American, he was Scottish, then moved to Ontario then to the USA. He did invent these devices in the USA as you had stated but to say he was an American because he moved there is incorrect.
Glad to hear that you were there to see history in the making. (Aside from the American history known as KISS that you are part of) When it is possible for everyday citizens to venture into space, will you go?
Darren
Response from Gene:
I told you all every citizen of another country would have a problem with my post. I still stand by every word of what I said. It was true then. It's truer still now.
I don't remember the last boat load of people who wash up on shore, drop to their knees and proclaim "Thank heaven, I've made it to France." (Or, fill in the country of your choice.
Only in America, baby.
Well I think that you dissing other Countries is wrong. There are other countries in the world who have more freedoms than the people of the U.S.A have. Where I live in Canada I have the freedom to do what i please, say whatever i want. we have more pensions for our retired and elderly than the US have (Canada Pension Plan, Old Age Pension Plan). In Canada we have a few rights that the US doesn't. We have universal healthcare where we do not have to pay a cent to a hospital for its services. We have in most of our provinces gay marriage which will be in the rest of canada after the supreme court gives their decision on the 3 remaining provinces. The canadian governmet is going to pass a bill where posession of 15 grams or less of marijuana is not a criminal offence, but they will just get a fine of $80 and no criminal record. I don't care about this one because i despise people who use the stuff, but people who do will love that one. The US will never pass a law like that I bet. A little comparion between canada and the US. Let's say a canadian and an american go to europe on a vacation at the same time. By the way I have done this so I know it works. The canadian has their flag on their backpack and the american has theirs. Can you guess who got treated better by the europeans. The canadian. That is what some of the locals told meas well. They told me they love to have canadians in their countries and they have even caught americans with canadian flags on their luggage so they get treated better while they are there. Why do you think canada comes Before the US in the list of countries where to live by the UN. We were number one for over ten years. Someday I would love to sit down with you for a polite conversation on our countries policies.
Have a great day and good luck ton the tv show in england.

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia - A Malaysian septugenarian tied the knot in 1957, and tied it again and again 53 times. This week, he's gone back to where he started, remarrying wife No. 1.
"I am not a playboy. I just love seeing beautiful women," Kamaruddin Mohammed, 72, was quoted as saying by the New Straits Times newspaper.
Kamaruddin's latest bride, now 74, also was his the first woman he married and divorced.
In between marrying Khadijah Udin, in 1957 and again on Monday, the "easy going charmer" married 51 times, including to an Englishwoman and a Thai. He stayed with the Thai the longest, for 20 years, the Times said. His shortest marriage lasted two days.
All his previous marriages ended in divorce except with the Thai woman, who died of cancer, he said.
"After she died I thought of Khadijah and sent several people to inquire. I didn't expect her to accept it," said Kamaruddin, who worked for several multinational companies before retiring in 1992.
Despite all the repeat marriages, Kamaruddin says he is a one-man woman.
"I don't like flings. I also don't believe in marrying more than one woman at a time," he told the Times.
He said he is very happy to be reunited with Khadijah, to whom he was married the first time for only a year.
Khadijah told the Times that she accepted Kamaruddin's marriage offer because she was now living alone after the death of her third husband.
"Kamaruddin also promised to look after me until the end of our lives and said he did not want to continue his habit of remarrying repeatedly," she said.
I read your thoughts on the American etrepreneur.
I agree that the vital element is the one person with the idea, the dream and the ability to make others beleve in the same dream.
At the same time, and luckily for a lot of people, this is possible without nessecerily moving to the US. I don't feel compromized by living in Scandinavia. Expencive? Yes, but we make more money than americans do. Cold?
No problem, like the north of your own contry.
Pick four and a half avrage americans and see if those people have acheived so much more than the population of Norway.
No disrespect to the US, but I've heard the american motto "we are better than you guys" so often - and I just feel it is appropriate to state that no conflict needed, why compete on who's got the strongest father. I'm happy you're proud to live in the US, and congrats on you and your countrys achivements - but as I see it, your perspectives would grow if you could understand that maybe f.ex Scandinavia has just as much freedom and democracy to go after any dream. Therefore your cool book is just as relevant here as in the US. If it was the way you see it, it wopuld'nt.
All the best.

I stand by every word I said....especially as someone who emmigrated to America.

2- Debby Mills - Newbroughton, 99 years old, was killed as she crossed the road. She was to turn 100 the next day, but crossing the road with her daughter to go to her own birthday party her wheel chair was hit by the truck delivering her birthday cake.

Young Samantha Stone felt that if she couldn't have dinner no one should and she promptly inserted 72 rat poison tablets into her father's coffee as he prepared dinner. The victim took one sip and promptly collapsed. Samantha Stone was given a suspended sentence as the judge felt she didn't realise what she was doing, until she tried to poison her mother using the same method one month later.
4- David Danil, 17 years old, was killed by his girlfriend after he attempted to have his way with her. His unwelcome advance was met with a double-barrelled shotgun. Charla's (the girlfriends) father had given it to her an hour before the date started, just in case.

He then left out a box of cigars, a lighter and a note saying, Sorry for the spree, have a puff on me, Brian. Conrad promptly lit a cigar, destroying the house, and himself in the process.
10- Patty Winter, 35 years old, was killed by her neighbour in the early hours of a Sunday morning. Her neighbour, Falt Hame, for years had a mounted F6 phantom jet engine in his rear yard. Patty Winter would constantly complain to the local sheriff's officers about the noise and the potential risk of fire. Mr Hame was served with a notice to remove the engine immediately. Not liking this he invited Miss Winter over for a cup of coffee and a chat about the whole situation. What Winter didn't know was that he had changed the position of the engine, as she walked into the yard he activated it, hitting her with a blast of 5,000 degrees, killing her instantly, and forever burning her outline into the driveway.

Hi Gene,
I have noticed that polygamy is making news again. It seems to me that having more than one spouse would curb the urge to wander. What are your thoughts?
Thanks for all you do.

Response from Gene:
No. I don't. Even the polygamist will want other "forbidden fruit".
gene, was doing some web surfing for kiss army related stuff and found this. wasnt sure if you had seen this or not. kiss rocks jam
Response from Gene:
This was recorded by an Aussie comedian during the KISS 1980 Australia Tour. You can imagine the lyric and song, I'm sure. Very funny.
Response from Gene:
Well...how do I put it...the male of the species produces billions of sperm...daily. Make of it what you will.
So..baby..this must be your take on the theory that the male species are natural born hunters .. ? I wouldn't suppose you would consider ..maybe.."filling in"..for the 98% of the male population that didn't get the memo about this... Seems that not using a man to define my existence on this earth has left me quite lonely these days...
The key is under the mat.. I'll be waiting..
Love,
Caitie
Response from Gene:
Ouch.
