Gene,

I was at the last METS game of the season this past weekend where they had numerous tributes to Todd Zeile who was retiring from major league baseball. The cool thing was that every video tribute had KISS symphony music accompanying the video footage. Thought you might like to know.

By the way, more new KISS music please!

J.P.

just want to know what you think about eddie vedder and his john kerry support. he was laughing at you on hannity colmes.

Response from Gene:

Eddie is a good guy. Laughing is ok. I actually agree with most of Mr. Kerry's values...I disagree with alot of Mr. Bush's values. But insofar as foreign policy goes, I have to go for Mr. Bush. I'm not interested in popularity contests when it comes to worldwide terrorism. You either fight a non=nuclear terrorist menace now, or a nuclear terrorist menace soon.

Hey Gene,

I was just reading your comment from Oct. 5th.
Since you think like that, how come, that you don´t give people with great ideas at least a chance to talk to you about it ( seems to me like this ).
I wrote a few e-mail by now and I was just asking for an hour of your time
to talk about it. I know your doing a lot of different things and you always run around.
But I also would fly to L.A. again, just to find out, what you think about it.
The few people over, that I was talking to over here, think it is a great idea ( incl. my family ),
but most people don´t wanna take the risk of building up something new (besides my family).

Hope to hear from you this time.

Greetings from Frankfurt

P.S.: Hope I didn´t make to much mistakes. But I left the states 16 years ago and over here I don´t speak/ write that much english.

Response from Gene:

I keep saying this over and over again. Everyone has ideas. I'm sure yours is very good. But, it means little if you can't make it happen. I can say I want to be a farmer and plant apples trees. Good idea. Now, the real work begins. Who's going to pay for it? How many seeds do I need? What does the manpower require? Where is the land? When do I pick the apples to get the best price? How do I deliver the apples to a buyer, who would then sell it? At what price? And so on.

Again, ideas mean very little. Talk is cheap. Making something real is everything.

To those who think Gene is "dissing" other countries I think they missed the point here. I read the same post as everyone else, and I don't recall reading anything about Gene dissing any other country. Just making the point that it is the individual - not the country/government - that makes things happen. You just see more of this kind of thing in America more so than anywhere else. I live in Canada and sure, we are proud of our accomplishments just like any other country, but in America it seems to come so much easier because the money/funding is there and more readily available. Things seem more assessable. I also lived in the States for a short period of time and happen to agree with Gene and understand where he comes from. There are opportunities galore in America if you put your mind and body into it to succeed beyond your wildest dreams. In the same breath I would have to say, you can do most whatever you put your mind too no matter what country you live in be it America, Canada or where ever - just get off your butt and do it. You'd be surprised what a little hard work and elbow grease would do.

Response from Gene:

Still stand by every word I said.

Hi Gene,

I don't know if this was ever discussed on your website about the topic of Separation Of Church and State ? If they are trying to remove "one nation under God" from the Pledge of Allegiance, then why should we have to sign a marriage license ? By and large, I believe that the institution of marriage is mostly definitely a Religious custom and tradition. As far as I am concerned, in this modern day,If two people decide to commit themselves to each other, live together and raise a family together, it shouldn't be none of the government's business to step in with laws. Especially if they give incentives by taxing single people more than married people. I also feel that the Government is way too biased towards women. Being a phone guy, I travel around to many businesses and I see first hand that more women are employed and actually do a better job than men. There is no reason in this day and age that women should be looked at as helpless and/or dependent and deserve more financial assistance than men do.Also, it shouldn't always be assumed that the mother be the one to get custody of the children by default. If they made a lousy choice in their partner and decided to have a child with a total loser who doesn't give a shit about her or their kids, that shouldn't be the governments problem. Her character usually reflects her own judgment. It was HER decision.Women these days no longer always play the "innocent" role in a relationship. I think marriage is for those who decide on more of a Religious lifestyle where they share common beliefs and values in a well structured church. It even states in The Bible that two people can form a church. When the state of Arizona (where I reside) has a 78 % divorce rate, there has to be a basic explanation of that.Lets face it, the Lawyers are making a fortune over this and marketing and advertising experts are becoming vultures for weak people who do not have power of their own Will.So I highly doubt you will hear about this stuff in the media. Perhaps the people who are getting married, SHOULDN'T be getting married, and those who are smart enough to stay single at least have an idea of how serious it is and think long enough about it until it's too late, then no one wants them anyway (I am exploring that stage myself right now). Personally, I wouldn't consider myself "Religious" person on a group or social level, but I feel growing on an individual level and my personal relationship with God.I am learning to have steady Faith in Mankind despite the imperfections. I believe that this country was built on trust, loyalty, and hard honest work ethics in order to have a better life for their children in a Free country where there is no Dictatorship. I do have moral values and I prefer to be in a stable relationship verses being a whore. With your status as a Rock star, you can get away with being a whore, but the common man eventually gets caught or catches Aides and dies. You can promote and hype your lifestyle all you want, but "reality" for most people is much different than yours because they weren't in the right band at the right time and at the right place as you were despite all your hard work making it to the top. An average postal clerk works harder than you, and he/she doesn't get an applause at the end of the evening like you do.I just happen to honor and admire productive members as society more than Rock stars, movie stars, porn stars and major league sports players. Call me crazy. You entertainment people all ready get paid enough for having fun most of the time. Your Political views mean crap to me because you are not an average American.Consider yourself lucky.Just be happy that your work represents a part of American pop culture and call it a day. Saying that God has a self-esteem issue is absurd. Those kind of statements make me wonder about you. I may be a fan, but I refuse to KISS ass to you. I will speak my mind, take it or leave it. (sounds familiar ?).
However I do agree with you that the best way to be joined together is through a "co-habitation" agreement. This shouldn't be used as a license to cheat and get away with it. In fact, your comments about men having billion sperm cells and they need to have multiple partners is a bunch of horse crap. Any way, I think that would be the best way to have the Government stay out of the affairs between men and women and a good example of separating church and state. Gay marriage rights has to be the most dumbest thing I have ever heard in my life. The Gay community was built by people who were anti-establishment, anti- family values, and anti-Religion. Why the Hell would they want to get married other than taking the advantage of the tax break and health care providing incentives the Government gives out ?? After all, a man and woman at least are able to re-produce to create more people to earn and spend money to keep the economy going, not to buy truck loads of ky jelly and tu-tu's. What really gets me is that the biggest cry-babies who push for Separation Of Church and State are also the same ones who want to take advantage of Government Incentives, even if it means going against their own values and beliefs. In my opinion, there comes a point where you have to stand up for something otherwise you will wind up falling for anything.
Sorry if I offended anyone.

Joe

So Gene, do you agree?

Why men are happier:

Men Are Just Happier People-
Your last name stays put.
The garage is all yours.
Wedding plans take care of themselves.
Chocolate is just another snack.
You can be president.
You can never be pregnant.
You can wear a white T-shirt to a water park.
You can wear NO T-shirt to a water park.
Car mechanics tell you the truth.
The world is your urinal.
You never have to drive to another gas station restroom because this one is just too icky.
You don't have to stop and think of which way to turn a nut on a bolt.
Same work, more pay.
Wrinkles add character
Wedding dress $5000, Tux rental $100.
People never stare at your chest when you're talking to them.
The occasional well-rendered belch is practically expected.
New shoes don't cut, blister, or mangle your feet.
One mood -- all the time.
Phone conversations are over in 30 seconds flat.
You know stuff about tanks.
A five-day vacation requires only one suitcase.
You can open all your own jars.
You get extra credit for the slightest act of thoughtfulness.
If someone forgets to invite you, he or she can still be your friend.
Your underwear is $8.95 for a three-pack.
Three pairs of shoes are more than enough.
You almost never have strap problems in public.
You are unable to see wrinkles in your clothes.
Everything on your face stays its original color.
The same hairstyle lasts for years, maybe decades.
You only have to shave your face and neck.
You can play with toys all your life.
Your belly usually hides your big hips.
One wallet and one pair of shoes one color for all seasons.
You can wear shorts no matter how your legs look.
You can "do" your nails with a pocketknife.
You have freedom of choice concerning growing a mustache.
You can do Christmas shopping for 25 relatives on December 24 in 45 minutes.
No wonder men are happier!

Response from Gene:

And yet, if women don't pay attention to us, we're miserable...despite everything you said.
