Dear Gene,
Happy Father's Day!!
Love,
'Originals'

Gene,
As a veteran of the Gulf War (1990-91) I want to thank you for your support of our military. It is rare and I suppose politically incorrect for a celebrity to support military action instead of protesting war. No one seems to realize the biggest group in support of peace is the American fighting men & women in the armed forces. It is their lives that will be at risk. The biggest difference between them and the protesters is the knowledge that sometimes you have to stand up and fight and are willing to do so. Thanks again for your support.

Response from Gene:
I have to say I am, by and large Liberal in domestic policy issues and completely Proactive, instead of Reactive in Foreign Policy. I'm embarrassed by the public, political behavior of celebrities, who have about as much qualification to make a rational political assessment of our foreign policy, as a politician might have about being in a band.
I would say, in hindsight, if Hollywood wants to be effective in electing its political leaders, best to keep their mouths shut, or perhaps simply act as private citizens and vote your conscience. In point of fact, the 'other side' (which I often disagree with in domestic issues), took great pleasure in taking out Nationwide billboard ads featuring famous faces from Hollywood...with a message along the lines of "Thank you Hollywood, for giving us four more years."
Thank you, indeed.
Gene,
Let me put my 2 cents worth in the pot. Talking about Hollywood protesting the war? Well, first off and I do not mean to be rude or bad about it. But here are the list of Hollywood actors that really served their country and they are the respective ones.
Audie Murphy, U.S. Army. Most Decorated serviceman of WWII and earned: Medal of Honor, Distinguished Service Cross, 2 Silver Star Medals, Legion of Merit, 2 Bronze Star Medals with "V", 2 Purple Hearts, U.S. Army Outstanding Civilian Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, 2 Distinguished Unit Emblems, American Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with One Silver Star, Four Bronze Service Stars (representing nine campaigns) and one Bronze Arrowhead (representing assault landing at Sicily and Southern France) World War II Victory Medal Army of Occupation Medal with Germany Clasp, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Marksman Badge with Rifle Bar, Expert Badge with Bayonet Bar, French Fourragere in Colors of the Croix de Guerre, French Legion of Honor, Grade of Chevalier, French Croix de Guerre With Silver Star, French Croix de Guerre with Palm, Medal of Liberated France, Belgian Croix de Guerre 1940 Palm.
James Doohan, (Star Trek) Served in the Normandy Invasion.
Eddie Albert, (Green Acres) Served in the U.S. Navy. Bronze Star aiding Marines at Tarawa.
James Arness, (Gunsmoke) U.S. Army, Battle of Anzio
Charlton Heston, USAAC (later USAF) stationed in Kodiak.
Donald Pleasence, (The Great Escape, You Only Live Twice) Royal Air Force pilot.
Ernest Borgnine, (McHales Navy) U.S. Navy WW2 Gunners Mate.
Alec Guinness (Star Wars) Royal Navy operator of a landing craft at D-Day
David Niven, Royal Army with the commandos in Normandy
James Stewart, USAAC bomber pilot.
Clark Gable, USAAC.
Charles Durning, U.S. Army Ranger at Normandy.
Charles Bronson, USAAC B-29 tail gunner 20th Air Force Pacific Theater WW2.
George C. Scott, USMC
Brian Keith, USMC WW2
Lee Marvin, USMC wounded in Saipan. WW2
So how do you feel the real heroes of the silver screen acted when compared to the Hollywood today who spray out anti-American drivel as they bite the hand that feeds them? Can you imagine these stars of yester-year saying they hate our flag, making anti-war speeches, marching in anti-American parades and saying they hate our president?
With Respect,

Response from Gene:
Sad. But true.
Gene,
I caught the tail end of your appearance on Fox News today. On your website you say, "Why they're (Fox News) interested in what I have to say about anything, is beyond me. " I believe they are interested for several reasons:
1) Your background is different than that of the stereotypical Fox News Conservative viewer. 2) Many of your views are different from the vocal "left" in the Entertainment industry. 3) You prove that you don't have to wear an Armani suit to say something intelligent. 4) You speak in an articulate, educated manner with a common-sense approach.
I also think there's some type of weird fascination they have with you (sort of like going to the state fair and watching the freak show), in the sense that here's a guy who breathes fire, spits blood, paints his face in Kabuki makeup, claims to have had intercourse with thousands of women and yet shares many of their political views. It's very interesting when you think about it. It's like they're thinking, "This guy agrees with us? I don't believe it. Let me hear for myself."
In other politics, youprobably don't have much free time to sit and read, but I was curious if you had a chance to read Robert Spencer's book "The Myth of Islamic Tolerance: How Islamic Law Treats Non-Muslims." It's a very powerful unveiling of some of the things you've been speaking about in the past on Fox News. Mr. Spencer also runs the website www.jihadwatch.org and I'm sure he'd welcome your comments on his website as he tries to cut through a lot of the incorrect politically-correct propaganda.

Hey Gene,
Just thought I would let you know you were just mentioned on a brand new series over here in Australia. Two of the male lead characters were discussing events from the night before. One was telling the other that he did not appreciate being left in the lounge while his friend took two girls into the bedroom. Youre worse than Gene Simmons was the line!
See you back down here soon we hope!
Nina. xx
Gene,
I know you hate rumors, and such. I hope you'd be willing to either confirm or finally "kill off" a couple of long-standing "KISS Urban Legends?"
First, it's long been suggested that when KISS started work on a follow-up to "Unmasked" that the album would be called "Rockin' With The Boys." Kerrang printed a story in 1982 suggesting that the title was actually an Ace song... I guess the point is: Before you got "Elder-fied," was "Rockin' With The Boys" ever uttered, or is it simply more misconstrued BS?
"Severe Cuts"... It's also been suggested that you (the band) and/or Phonogram initially considered releasing the four "new" tracks from "Killers" as an EP with the title "Severe Cuts." More BS?
I know these questions may seem irrelevant to you, but some of us do like to differentiate between fact and fiction!
Thanks for your time, fingers crossed that the "100" Box Set surfaces! And Coventry 12/73!?!
Best wishes,
Julian
Response from Gene:
None of it is true and have never heard of the titles.
Hey Gene!
Haven't emailed ya in a While But I know ya a Busy man and You don't wanan see my drivel every month of the year *Wink*
Firstly Congrats on your **hole Album I love it! It was actually the song ***hole that placed a smile on my face while cruising about Auckland, first verse just had this smile crack open and me laughing my ass off. I so needed to Be perked up that day ( I suffer Depression) So THANK YOU! A simple smile may not mean much to anyone But it means a lot to me when something touches out and brings me a lil' Smile to say the least.

I was married I had four Kids from that married and He Left us in 1999.In 2001 My divorce was Finalized I have never once thought about Marriage again and I do have a Loving man you I allow to have other partners (as long as It's Safe Sex). Response from Gene:
It's ok. Woman will defend that they are unlike the other women. It's called personalizing. When men hear "all men are dogs" ...they say "yeah, you're right." They don't say, "well, I'm not!!!" Women personalize. You did. We were talking about WOMEN. That's plural. You talked about YOURSELF. That's singular.
Hi Gene,
Re: personalizing. All heavy metal and hard rockers are DRUGGIES, who use excessive alcohol, trash hotel rooms, spread sexual diseases and have low I.Q.'s. Gene Simmons is a rock star - therefore Gene Simmons MUST fit the above (generally accepted) description. If you can just shrug it off ... more power to you. But I'm thinking you're first thought has to be 'I'M NOT!".
Response from Gene:
Wrong. But, nice try.
You CAN generalize that rockers are morons/drug users...take your pick I AM the exception. But, that doesn't change the 'tendency' ...which is to say, the generalization is true.
Regarding women (who I love...all sizes, all shapes): I stand by every word I said.

I saw you on Fox today and was pleased with your response and support of our troops........Thanks for all you do in their behalf.......It does not go unnoticed.....A fan always....Ken Tye Charleston, SC
