I love it when people write in and mention a "Kiss Sighting". I was watching the A&E Biography on Doris Roberts (from "Everybody Loves Raymond") and when they mention her move to Hollywood the very first thing they show us was a clip of Los Angeles. There, in all its glory, was a huge billboard announcing a Kiss concert. It was the "Destroyer" album.

Speaking of Kiss "sightings", the Matt Dillon movie "Over The Edge" has a scene where the kids are talking about getting tickets to a Kiss concert. One of the kids asked another if they thought it was real blood that you spit up.

And finally (for now) I recall reading the book "They Thirst". It has a brief reference of a vampire wearing a Kiss tee shirt.

You guys are everywhere.

My grandmother has a friend named Alice Cooper. I just thought that was funny.

Hello Gene...

my name is Dave Moody , and I was in a band you were interested in a couple of years back when you were taking solicitations for your record company. The band was called Magnetic Flux...IM sure you remember us...it was a thrill to meet my hero on a couple of different occations,and to be treated with such respect...you treated us as an equal not as some up and coming band...it was business and I want to thank you for that....the best part of the meeting (even though we didn't get your endorsement) was that we had a small conversation while you were doing your meet and greet...I told you that I wanted to thank you for all the music you guys made and to thank you for making me wanna rock and that I did everything you said, and it led me to you...You in return basically told me that you were one person, and that just because we weren't the band you were looking for that it wasn't the end of the road...Then as to give me encouragement you looked at me and said..."you aren't going to quit are you?" i said" hell no"...and you said "i look forward to seeing you soon"...Well I didn't give up, and my new band is currently in the studio with Michael Wagener (as you know he's produced the likes of Skid Row, Ozzy, Dokken..ect..) and the band is on the verge of a major label deal...We are called Hydrogyn, and we will be releasing our album in jan or feb. I want to thank you for your kind words and encouragement and to let you know IM a kiss fan until the day I die!!!...and Mr. Simians... You were mentioned on two separate shows on Monday night. First, American Chopper said that their new rear fender looked like “Gene Simmons’ tongue” and then on Weird US (on the History Channel) made another reference to your tongue.  KISS is everywhere.

Hey Gene,

I was watching a show on VH1 called "When KISS ruled the World", and the show was talking about partying all night and such, and Peter said something about everyone drinking, except for Gene, cause Gene doesn't drink. My wife then said "Why doesn't Gene drink?". This prompted a discussion about drinking and drug use and whatever else, so I told her that I had read in a magazine about 8 years ago that quoted you saying you had never drank, smoked, or done drugs. The reporter's response was"Really? Never?". and they quoted you as saying that its sad that our society is so numb as to think that a person could go their whole life without drinking or doing any sort of substance. I think that's great that you never have. I wish I could go back and take away all the time I spent partying and getting drunk and high with my bandmates. I could have put that time wasted to better use. Anyway, is not drinking and smoking part of your religious background, or do you feel you don't need to do that to enrich your life more than you already have. Thanks for your time.
