Last week was hectic, but exciting.
Mid week, Rich Abramson and I flew to meet our new potential partners in a venture that promises to change the way corporate America travels.
Then, I flew in to San Diego and SOPHIE and I went to visit the troops at CAMP PENDLETON. Our GENE SIMMONS FAMILY JEWELS tv crews came along. Soph and I went on a helicopter, sat in very tight quarters to video simulate tank battles, went into an amphibious assault vehicle (a tank that can go on land and in water) and actually did the Marine task hurdle course.
But the most memorable and heart wrenching part of our visit is when we visited the Long Beach Veteran's Hospital.
We met proud vets from WWII, the Korean War, Vietnam and the Iraqi War.
One thing each vet had in common, was humility. Not one of the vets touted themselves. Each had been wounded seriously, yet all said they would do it again.
Our Military men and women don't do it for fame, or money.
The least we can do, is look them in the eye and tell them what they did matters. No matter your political point of view.
Offer a Vet your seat on the train, offer them a cup of coffee. At the very least, thrust your arm forward and shake the hand of a HERO.
Thanks a lot for the money! They have the Kiss Slot Machine at Casino Niagara in Niagara Falls and boy did it hit good for my wife and I. This really helped us out because our car broke down 2 weeks prior and this money gave us a chance to get a new car!

I not sure whether there have been more women holding your hand or that black planner. No wonder Shannon, and the kids hid it from you on Gene Simmons Family Jewels. I rarely see a picture where it's not in your hand. I understand.............. I carry a smaller one all the time in my handbag. I'd be lost without it, and I totally freak when it's misplaced.

 The Las Vegas MAGIC SHOW is a beehive of activity. Besides the clothing lines in the more than 100,000 sq ft facility, the NBA is also in town for a big event.
All of which plays right into the right place at the right time. My partners and I are working with perhaps the most charismatic and high scoring baller on getting him his own TV SHOW. The head of the network is also in town and we all plan on a sit down together. More on this later.
Ran into Boxing Champ SUGAR SHANE MOSELY and we talked about a few things -- perhaps a new business venture. We will see.
Working on putting together a school fund raiser at an auditorium in LA -- so far, we have the drummer and founding member of the coming year's biggest tour, a founding member of a trip/quartet singing group known around the world for decades, a comedienne who has had her own tv shows, myself and more.
We intend on filming it or parts of it for our GENE SIMMONS FAMILY JEWELS...but more importantly, the event will raise funds for a very important school.
And Sunday night in LA, there is the very romantic KINK BALL, which we will attend and film.

GENE'S WARDROBE
My pal, Gene Simmons, who with his talented tongue has led KISS for 34 years, launches his new Street-Wear fashion line today at the Dussault Custom Ink booth of the MAGIC and the savvy financial investor is calling it MONEYBAG. He'll wear and show the line as super salesmen to buyers from stores around the country for the next three days. Thursday night he's invited me to his celebration cocktail and dinner party in his Venetian's penthouse suite. He worked with designer Jason Dussault on the Limited Edition streetwear of hand-finished and signed hoodies, belts, wallets, purses and hats! Go check it out at genesimmonsmoneybag.com.
Gene told me: "I have owned the trademark MONEYBAG logo for over 25 years. I have used it on my magazines, book imprint, record company and a few other areas. Until I met Jason Dussault, I held off on really going out into the marketplace in the street wear line. It has to do with finding a kindred spirit. And, Jason is it. He and I share a passion for only doing things in life that mean something. As a teenager he was a huge KISS fan and spent a lot of time not only dressing like KISS but also drawing my character all over his fashion-books so his teenage dream of meeting me not only became a reality but we hit it off with a great business idea. Together, we intend on creating cutting edge, in-your-face fashions. The MONEYBAG Line, at long last, is becoming a reality." The Hoodies have already been specially designed for Pamela Anderson, Nicole Ritchie and Kid Rock. Gene was at JET Nightclub last night, joining Gnarls Barkley who flew in to celebrate their Sunday night Grammy wins.

The Magic Show highlights what's new in the apparel/clothing line. The manufacturers/designers and buyers all go there.
We will be debuting our GENE SIMMONS MONEYBAG clothing line with our partner, JASON DUSSAULT, who has his DUSSAULT Clothing Line. We will be there. Come up and say hello.

KISS Meets SpongeBob SquarePants on Dry Land?!
 Rocker Gene Simmons and Longtime Love Shannon Tweed Lend their Voices to a New Episode of the Hit Animated Nickelodeon Series
Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed dropped by the Nicktoons Studios in Burbank, CA this week to voice act on an upcoming episode of Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants called “20,000 Patties Under the Sea.” In the episode, Simmons will voice the role of the menacing Sea Monster who is fed Krabby Patties by SpongeBob and Patrick in attempts to keep his anger at bay. Tweed plays the Sea Monster’s mother who comes to her son’s defense after being insulted by Plankton.
While developing the episode, executive producer and KISS fan Paul Tibbitt felt Simmons’ voice would be perfect for the role. Simmons agreed and brought Tweed on the project.
"I was born for this part. I've been waiting all my life to be a Sea Monster. It's in my blood. It's what I do. It's my job. SpongeBob is jealous, as well he should be. I was brilliant," said Simmons.
“20,000 Patties Under the Sea” will air on Nickelodeon in 2008.
The GENE SIMMONS FAMILY JEWELS (A&E) TV crew also filmed the record for posterity, when the 2nd season debuts with 20 all-new episodes in the spring.
 Our GENE SIMMONS FAMILY JEWELS tv crew followed myself and Miss Tweed to shoot the NICKELODEON voice over work we did for SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS.
Miss Tweed played a Sea Mom. And I played, Sea Monster. (...Really???? You're kidding.)

*KISS Mania in France! Since January 10th, it's been the time of winter sales in France, what's called "les soldes" in French, and here's the poster you will see if you go shopping at H.Landers, a famous clothing store in France:

We are going to be in Las Vegas for the MAGIC SHOW on February 13th thru the 15th.
The Magic Show is the wearing apparel industry's big yearly convention. My long-in-the-planning MONEYBAG clothing line will finally have its debut. And, I intend to be there to make sure everyone knows I'm behind it. We will be meeting all of you at the convention, and in the evening, I'm sure there's going to be some hell raised -- I mean that in a good way, of course.
My Joint Venture partner, is an interesting and creative Canadian guy by the name of JASON DUSSAULT. Jason grew up a KISS fan, among other things and has quickly made a name for himself in the Great White North with his line of DEUCE CUSTOM INK clothing (-- since changed to DUSSAULT). Jason not only designs and manufacturers his own stuff, he also has his own stores.
We were introduced to each other by TERRY FITZGERALD, who works with Jason and within the MCFARLAND organization -- the same people who brought you the KISS PSYCHO CIRCUS comics and action figures.
Our intention is to put out cutting edge hoodies, leather goods, belts and other items featuring the MONEYBAG logo, which I have owned for over 25 years. I have used the logo in my GENE SIMMONS TONGUE magazine, SIMMONS BOOKS/AUDIO, SIMMONS RECORDS, and for a short time, I tried the clothing line with another entity, but couldn't find a happy working relationship.
This one feels right.
So much so, that our GENE SIMMONS FAMILY JEWELS will be filming/chronicaling our venture, from the beginning, to its birth in a few months, when the first Dussault store on Melrose Ave. in LA will debut.
Until then, you can watch this space, or log on to GENESIMMONSMONEYBAG.COM to see/order stuff. The site should be operational in a day or so.
