Woke up at the crack of dawn to do FOX TV's FOX AND FRIENDS morning show in New York.
Then, interviewed PETER CRISS for GENE SIMMONS TONGUE #2 at my hotel. Pete came by with his wife Gigi. He was in great spirits and we, as is usual with us, talked and joked about everything. Also, did an informal foto session together between laughs and jokes.
A word of advice: No matter how many of you e mail me to find out what we talked about, what the details were, or what it all means, you'll have to wait for the second issue to come out.
Then left for CARSON DALY's show on NBC (also broadcast on the E Channel). On the same show were: ADAM SANDLER and ENRIQUE IGLESIUS. Ran into Sandler first. I'm not sure why, but whenever I run into him, I toss out my fav jokes. It never works, of course. Adam has always been "gentle" with me about my humor. He agreed to talk to me when I get back to LA about doing a piece for GENE SIMMONS TONGUE.
Hopefully for the second issue.
Likewise with ENRIQUE. Hope to do a piece on him when time and p.r. people permit.
Ended the day with GRETA VAN SUSTEREN at FOX TV. The piece went out live and will be rebroadcast at a later date in their "celeb" special.

Ran into NASCAR racing car champion JEFF GORDON. Jeff beat our KISS NASCAR at last year's races.
Jeff and I will be doing an article for the mag soon.

Am in New York, but wanted to wish BOB EZRIN all the best on his WEDDING DAY...TODAY!!! Wish I could be there.
Tonight, will be seeing Miss CHER at Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, New York. Going with me will be Miss VICTORIA GOTTI.

Will be on CNN at 12:45 LA time with Arthel Neville/TALKBACK.
Then will segway into CNN's HEADLINE NEWS live at l:10 pm LA time. Both shows will be to promote GENE SIMMONS TONGUE magazine.
 Thursday, June the 20th, Fox's GOOD DAY LIVE with Steve Edwards, Jillian Barberie and Dorothy Lucey will interview me for the nationally televised version of their show.

The GENE SIMMONS TONGUE Launch Party held at the Palms Hotel in Las Vegas was way over the top. There were literally thousands of people, or so it seemed, at the event. Outside, the 50 foot high marquee advertised "Gene Simmons Presents.."
The lovely BROOKE (E TV) BURKE interviewed me in the middle of the madness. Even SHAQ O'NEAL made an appearance.
Allen Tuller and Condomania's Adam Glickman were both on hand to promote the magazine and the KISS KONDOMS.
I left the party at 4 am... and it was still rockin'...
June 14th -
I appeared on POLITICALLY INCORRECT last night and the show turned into a lively debate about drugs. Needless to say, those of you who know me, if I were king of the world, I would certainly put to death anyone found dealing drugs. Host Bill Maher also appears in our debut issue of GENE SIMMONS TONGUE magazine.
 While I was getting made up, I cornered comedian DAVID (classic KIDS IN THE HALL) FOLEY and did "20 Licks", our new rapid fire Q&A column for issue #2 of our magazine.
Dropped by to say happy birthday to TOM (RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE) MORELLO. Took some fotos and convinced Tom to write something for our mag. He suggested interviewing JOE (THE CLASH) STRUMMER. Stay tuned.
 Then went next door to the Roxy to see BOB SCHNEIDER play. Bob's great. Catch him when he's in your town. While there, cornered MINNIE DRIVER, who's very cute and took some fotos together.
And, for those of you not yet comfortable with the spelling of "foto".. it's common street usage. Get used to it.
And by the way, my partner, PAUL STANLEY will be on the CHRIS ISAAK SHOW - Showtime on June the 25th. Don't miss it.
June 12th -
Tomorrow, June 13th, the entire GENE SIMMONS TONGUE staff is going to meet over lunch to discuss the second issue. We are off to a rousing start. We will, of course have great fotos of the launch parties and lots of surprises.
 Ed Dada, my partner in the GENE SIMMONS DRAGONFLY STORES are going to be visiting new store sites for our flagship store. We hope to launch the first store by the end of the summer. As mentioned, we already have interest for a second store in London, England, to be funded by the Princess of Brunei. Additionally, Ed and I have received numerous offers to open other stores around the world. More news as it develops.
I'll be appearing on POLITICALLY INCORRECT tomorrow night. Show is to be shot in the afternoon and broadcast same night.
Then, I'll head off to TOM (Rage Against The Machine) MORELLO's birthday party at the Rainbow.
Then to see BOB SCHNEIDER at the Roxy.
June the 15th -- I'll be off to Las Vegas for the final GENE SIMMONS TONGUE Launch Party. Tons of fun and games. Looks like Hollywood is flying in for this one. Oh yeah...and lots of girls. We like that. Anyone got a problem with that?
June the 20th, I'll be taping GOOD DAY LIVE national. Steve Edwards, Dorothy Lucey and Jillian Barberie will be in the studio -- I'll be home. They will do the interview via satellite.
Then, PREMIER radio will simulcast a radio interview.

 GENE SIMMONS TONGUE magazine Launch Party was held last night at Barfly in LA. A big thank you to the people at Barfly for allowing our zoo to camp out for the night.

Jay Schwartz was our P.R. head and he kept everything in order.
Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Beautiful women, tons of press, including the EXTRA tv team and good friends.

Later on, my partner Allen Tuller and the entire GS TONGUE staff will meet to discuss our soiree to be held at; 8 PM... BARFLY on Sunset Blvd...
Expected are print and television media... everyone from CNN to EXTRA.
For those of you joining us late, there is one other GENE SIMMONS LAUNCH PARTY being held. June 15th, Las Vegas Palms Hotel. We will be closing the CineVegas Las Vegas Film Festival. Expected are 3,000 people.

AD-AGE, the trade magazine for the advertising world, interviewed me. It's interesting to note how people are more impressed with "big spending" than with frugal business practices. For instance, TALK magazine (funded by Miramax Films) cost millions... perhaps over ten million. They went broke and recently folded. In comparison, GENE SIMMONS TONGUE magazine cost a fraction of that (five figure range) and it looks to be a smash. The editorial (and cover story) of FOLIO -- the magazine industry's trade publication, was exactly based on that.
It's never been proven that the more money you spend on a product, the more people will buy it.

VH1 tv, radio and internet interviewed me about the same thing. They were curious whether I was simply lending my name to GENE SIMMONS TONGUE. If they only knew the truth. I set up interviews. I interview. I will pick up the phone and try and seducer advertisers. I will do anything, 24 hours a day for something I believe in. Vacations are for wimps.
VICTORIA GOTTI (daughter of John) interviewed me for her column appearing in New York's Daily News.
June 8th
 SCOOBY DOO movie premier had me going down the media line, GENE SIMMONS TONGUE magazine in hand. With me were a couple out of Tampa, Florida who won the Meet Gene Simmons contest on Extra.
EXTRA tv crew followed us around the premier, eating lunch together and then visiting a recording studio, where I showed them how it's all done.
The recent batch of letters have been more civilized and I thank you. However, every once in a while, there is a small number of wackos who feel compelled to vent their hatred. Racism may no longer march under white sheets in public. But, make no mistake about it, it lives right next door to all of us.
 While I have a philosophy of not editing mail that is critical of me, I will not, however, post hate mail. Freedom of speech is one thing. But, that doesn't mean you're allowed to get up in a crowded movie theater and yell "Fire" just because you felt like it. That's called "Incitement to Riot."
Hate belongs in the toilet. Flushed. Not here.
 Hi, this is Allen Tuller, Publisher & co-founder of Gene Simmons Tongue Magazine. I am very happy to announce that the big day has come, June 4th, our official on-sale date! Thank you all for your support and interest in Gene Simmons Tongue magazine, we really appreciate it. I know many of you have subscribed and have already gotten the Premiere issue let me know how you like it! I've seen it in many stores already here in New York and by today, it should be all over the country. We've been working many long hours for about 8 months now but it's really been worth it. I think we've got a great magazine that captures the essence of the Sex, Style, Rock n' Roll we've been talking about, I hope you agree. Today, June 4th, Gene starts a press campaign that begins with Live with Regis and Kelly in the morning and CNN both in the early afternoon and in the evening. We have launch parties in New York at Studio 54 on Wednesday the 5th and in Los Angeles on June 11th. We are also hosting the big closing party at the CineVegas film festival at the Palms Hotel in Vegas on the 15th of June.
We have already started working diligently on our second issue which will be out in late August/early September. Some great interviews have already been done along with some very hot photo shoots of some very familiar celebrities. (Sorry going to have to keep you hanging for a little while on that one but don't worry, I'll give you some sneak peeks in the weeks to come!)

 REGIS PHILBIN AND KELLY RIPA couldn't have been nicer on my appearance.
They let me hawk GENE SIMMONS MAGAZINE. They let me bring the EXTRA tv crew with me. I had a ball.
CNNfn and CNN had to cancel my appearance due to breaking news. Will be rebooked for a later date.
Met DONALD TRUMP to talk about a few projects... Donald's MISS UNIVERSE PAGEANT was a huge success and we were both talking about how beautiful Miss Russia is. Am lining up a perspective article on Mr. Trump and a proposed foto session with Miss Universe.
The FIFI AWARDS are the Academy Awards of the perfume industry. I presented with MARISA BERENSON at Avery Fisher Hall/Lincoln Center. The EXTRA camera crews were there to record all the action.
June 5th
Recorded a "gag" appearance for KATHY NAJIMY's Country Music Awards show.
STUDIO 54 was the site of the GENE SIMMONS TONGUE Launch Party. It was loads of fun, Too bad you couldn't be there. We had mini-KISS (four little peoples dressed in KISS makeup)... the NUNS, a group of gals dressed in fetish outfits, RENA MERO (the former wrestler SABLE, who just finished a foto shoot for GENE SIMMONS TONGUE #2), loads of beautiful girls, the EXTRA camera crews .... and PETER CRISS. Peter and I mugged for the cameras and it was a kick to see him and his wife Gigi again. Peter and I are talking about an article for the second issue of my mag.

In NY will be doing REGIS PHILBIN/KELLY RIPA - ABC tv and CNN as well as CNNfn. Also, Reuters and the print media.
GENE SIMMONS TONGUE magazine has already appeared on some news stands in NY and LA and from the looks of things, WE HAVE A HUGE SMASH. We intend on waiting a few months (quarterly) between the first issue or two and then we will accelerate our publishing schedule.
Already in the planning stages are stories on CARMEN ELEKTRA and RICHARD BRANSON. Stay tuned.

Endemol execs met with me to discuss a possible Simmons tv program. Endemol are the people who bring you FEAR FACTOR and SPY TV, among others.
This is strictly in the talking stages at this point.
