Gene Simmons “moved billions” as one of the top celebrity traders at the 2018 Cantor Fitzgerald Charity Day on Sept 11.

September 11, 2018 – New York Rock icon Gene Simmons participated at Cantor Fitzgerald & BGC Partners’ annual Charity Days. Simmons was one of the top celebrity traders as he joined licensed brokers on the trading floor conducting real time transactions and commanding big number sales and trades.
Simmons finished the day moving millions of dollars and was among many A-list celebrity ambassadors that participated in 2018, including former US President Bill Clinton, former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, Matthew McConaughey, Goldie Hawn, Liev Schreiber, Alec Baldwin, Gayle King, Dr. Ruth, Tony Danza and more.
Official numbers have not been released by the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund yet. When asked how he did, Simmons replied “Moved billions! I came here not just to show face but to do something!” All proceeds from the event will go to a diversity of charitable causes worldwide.
Every year, Cantor Fitzgerald and their affiliates, BGC Partners and GFI Group, in conjunction with the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund, commemorate their 658 friends and colleagues and 61 Eurobrokers employees who perished on September 11, 2001 by distributing 100% of their global revenues on Charity Day to the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund and dozens of charities around the world. Since its inception, Charity Day has raised $147 million globally. Charity Day is their way of turning a tragic day into one that is positive and uplifting by helping others.
“It’s the least I could do to be here for the people of New York after what they have been through. Cantor is doing an extraordinary thing here” Simmons said. His help spans across the United States as proceeds from his participation will also go towards helping the children of LAPD officers who have been killed in the line of duty. “I have great respect for our law enforcement, armed forces and first responders. They do jobs the rest of us would never do and when they’re in need… I say again… it’s the least I can do”.
When the Los Angeles Police Memorial Foundation heard of Simmon’s participation in the Charity Day and his contribution, they announced they will acknowledge Simmons at their annual Heroes for Heroes Celebrity Charity Poker Tournament to be held in Los Angeles on November 10 with the support of The Stars Group, MoneyBag Sodas and Emmett Furla Films.
