KISS’ Gene Simmons Announces First-Ever Australian Solo Tour

KISS bassist Gene Simmons has announced for his first-ever solo tour of Australia.
The long-tongued rocker will be performing with a full band in Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane in 2018, to perform KISS tracks and solo material for his biggest fans, and you can catch all the tour dates and ticket details down below.
“Doing these smaller concert halls, which hold a thousand to three thousand people, means they get filled up by real diehard fans,” Simmons says.
“They don’t want to hear the same-old, same-old. They want to hear nuggets, as they say. It’s a hoot for me because I’ve never really had a chance to do this stuff live. It’s been a lot of fun.”
It was also revealed last month that Simmons would be returning to Australia early next year, to meet up with fans who purchase his new $2,500 ‘VAULT’ box set, which he’s legitimately hand-delivering.
KISS last performed in Australia in 2015, with Music Feeds reporter Emmy Mack describing the band’s Sydney show as “two hours of gratuitous, magnificent, dizzying eye-porn”.
Simmons, meanwhile, reunited with his KISS bandmate Ace Frehley last month, to perform together for the first time in 16 years.
Simmons has also recently made (our) headlines after saying that he once bought an AFL team for one day so that he could pay less tax in Australia.
