Gene Simmons Is Kissing His L.A. Mansion Goodbye

The rock star and his wife, Shannon Tweed Simmons, are listing their Benedict Canyon home for $22 million after nearly four decades.

It was shortly after he met his future wife, model Shannon Tweed, at a party at the Playboy Mansion in 1983 that rock star and Kiss frontman Gene Simmons began looking for a home the couple could share. They quickly found a secluded ranch house on a hillside in the Benedict Canyon area of Los Angeles, far from the “tour buses with well-meaning tourists from Sandusky, Ohio,” he said. They bought it in 1984 for $1.35 million.
